Over at WCBR, we recently crowned out "Best of 2010". Of course, our winners came at the end of an exhaustive series of nominations from everyone on the WCBR staff which we then narrowed down via a few rounds of voting.
I just thought people might be interested in what my top candidates were. I read a lot of off the wall stuff and sometimes that gets squeezed during voting because not everyone is familiar with the subject matter.
One area that was confusing was "best artist" and determining how to credit an artist who did a few stellar issues versus artists who were putting out monthly books. While I LOVE many of those awesome artists who show up here and there, I think to be the "Best" you need to be coming pretty close to cranking out a monthly comic book.

So, enjoy that for whatever it is worth. All told I read over 700 new comics last year and while I do miss a good chuck of the DC universe, I think I've read most of the really good stuff. Of course, everyone thinks that. :)
